Air Diving Supervisor Eligibility (GA 2026)

Please note:
- You have six months to complete the eligibility process from the date of purchase. The Grade Assessment then needs to be completed within the following twelve months of successfully completing the eligibility process.
- Course and Competence documentation:
- Can be downloaded (and saved to a laptop or mobile device) when internet access is available.
- It can then be completed and saved, even when offline.
- The completed documents can then be uploaded to your submission areas when internet access is next available.
An Air Diving Supervisor is regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all air diving activities associated with the subsea marine operations.
They can successfully supervise the Dive Team during operations and will report directly to the Diving Superintendent/Offshore Project Manager when offshore.
The Air Diving Supervisor is expected to coach and assess members of the Dive Team and act as a witness during the competence assessment process.
- An appropriate HSE/IMCA diving qualification
- min 3 years as an Air Diver
- Demonstrated competence as an offshore Air Diver (in accordance with IMCA C003) and has completed 200 commercial dives as an Air Diver
- Complete and pass Air Dive Supervisor training courses
- 200 hours as a trainee Supervisor on the air control panel on a minimum of 100 surface dives over a minimum period of 60 days
- Demonstrated competence as an air diving Supervisor in accordance with IMCA guidelines C003 by the end of the period as a 'trainee' supervisor
- Sit and pass IMCA Air Diving Supervisor examination
- Current and valid survival certificate
- Current and valid medical certificate
- Has received training in the aspects of leadership
- Completed employer company familiarisation
Bell Diving Supervisor Eligibility (GA 2026)

A Saturation Diving Supervisor is regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all diving activities associated with the subsea marine operations.
They can successfully supervise the Dive Team during operations and will report directly to the Diving Superintendent/Offshore Project Manager when offshore.
The Saturation Diving Supervisor is expected to coach and assess members of the Dive Team and act as a witness during the competence assessment process.
- An appropriate HSE/IMCA diving qualification
- min 3 years as a Bell (Saturation) Diver
- Demonstrated competence and logged 400 lockout hours as a Bell (Saturation Diver)
- Complete and pass Saturation and Air Diving Supervisor training courses
- 350 hours (under Supervision) as a trainee Supervisor on the bell control panel on a minimum of 50 bell runs over a minimum period of 90 days
- Demonstrated competence as a Bell (Saturation) diving Supervisor by the end of their period as a trainee bell diving supervisor
- Act as a trainee air Supervisor on 10 offshore commercial air dives
- min 360 hours logged as ALST
- Sit and pass IMCA Bell (Saturation) Diving Supervisor examination
- Current and valid survival certificate
- Current and valid medical certificate
- Has received training in aspects of leadership
- Completed employer familiarisation training
Dive Superintendent Eligibility (GA 2026)

A Dive Superintendent is regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all aspects of subsea marine operations.
They can successfully manage the Project Team during operations and will report directly to the Client Representative when offshore.
The Dive Superintendent is expected to coach and assess members of the Project Team in line with the assessment standards.
- Completed diver training to IMCA recognised closed bell or surface supplied diver qualificiation ( see IMCA note in doc C003)
- Demonstrated competence as a bell or air supplied dive supervisor ( see IMCA note in doc C003)
- Has received training in aspects of leadership
- Passed Survival course and holds valid medical certificate for geographical area of work
- If working on DP vessel has passed introductory dynamic positioning course
- Completed employer company familiarisation training
Professional Bell (Saturation) Diver Eligibility (GA 2026)

A Saturation Diver is regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all saturation diving activities associated with subsea marine operations.
They can successfully participate in the diving team during operations and will report directly to the Diving Supervisor when offshore.
The Saturation Diver is expected to take part in the competence assessment process.
- Valid IMCA/HSE saturation diving qualification
- Current and valid survival certificate
- Current and valid medical certificate
- Desirable - First aid or Diver Medic qualification
- Inspection work only - appropriate inspection qualification
Professional Surface Supplied Diver Eligibility (GA 2026)

- Current and valid medical certificate confirming fitness to dive
- Completed First aid training to required standard OR holds Diver Medic qualification
- Completed employer company familiarisation
- Inspection work only - appropriate inspection qualification
