Job Summary:

A Grade I Survey Engineer is regarded as someone who is conversant with engineering aspects of marine survey operations.

They can successfully participate in the Survey Team during operations and will report directly to the Senior Survey Engineer.

The Grade I Survey Engineer is expected to coach and assess junior members of the Survey Project Team in line with the Competence Management Programme.

Entry Specifications:
  • Satisfactory completion of the competence criteria for Survey Engineer Grade II and be working towards Survey Engineer Grade I
  • Nominally 12 months including 80 days operational experience as a Survey Engineer Grade II OR Relevant Industrial, military or academic experience in Survey discipline
  • Valid and current offshore medical certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed
  • Valid and current offshore survival certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed

Job Summary:

A Grade II Survey Engineer is regarded as someone who works within the Survey Team during marine survey operations.

They can successfully participate under supervision, in the Survey Project Team during operations and will report directly to the Senior Survey Engineer.

The Grade II Survey Engineer is expected to participate in the Competence Management Programme.

Entry Specifications:
  • Qualification in an appropriate engineering related subject. Minimum level HNC/HND or appropriate technical/military experience and qualifications
  • Good standard of IT literacy/Team player/Good communication skills
  • Valid and current offshore medical certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed
  • Valid and current offshore survival certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed
  • If currently working as a Survey Engineer Grade II, and wishing to certify at this grade, then satisfactory completion of competence criteria for the grade is required

Senior Survey Engineer (GA 2026)

A Senior Survey Engineer is regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all engineering aspects of marine survey operations.

They can successfully manage the survey engineering team during operations and will report directly to the Party Chief.

The Senior Survey Engineer is expected to coach and assess members of the Survey Team in line with the Competence Management Programme.

Entry Specifications:
  • Satisfactory completion of the competence criteria for Survey Engineer Grade I and be working towards Senior Survey Engineer grade
  • Nominally 24 months including 200 days operational experience as a Survey Engineer Grade I OR Relevant Industrial, military or academic experience
  • Valid and current offshore medical certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed
  • Valid and current offshore survival certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed
