Inspection Coordinator (ICA 2026)

The Inspection Coordinator should have a broad range and knowledge and experience of subsea inspection activities including (but not limited to):
- Inspection equipment whether with dive control/inspection shack or ROV station
- The ability to prepare/operate/test and calibrate all inspection equipment
- Preparation of datasheets/work packs and pre-dive plans
- Regular liaison with company Project Managers/Party Chiefs/client's and ROV or Dive Supervisors
- Deliver of pre dive briefings
- Monitoring of the inspection work to ensure that task plans and workscopes do not deviate from client procedures
- Providing running commentary required within the client's work scope
- Ensuring all data is achieved and recorded as required by the quality procedures
- Any post inspection reports/wash-up meeting and demobilisation activities are completed
- Valid and current offshore medical certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed
- Valid and current offshore survival certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed
- EITHER
- Satisfactory completion of the competence criteria for Inspection Engineer Grade I and competence criteria for Senior Inspection Engineer grade
- AND
- Nominally 24 months' experience, including 200 operational days offshore as an Inspection Engineer Grade I
- OR
- Long service experience
- Essential: must hold an in date 3.4u certificate
- Desirable to hold industry related certification associated with NDT techniques and Inspection suites e.g. ACFM, Integrity Elements, Nexus exe.
Senior Inspection Engineer (ICA 2026)

A Senior Inspection Engineer is regarded as someone who is fully conversant in all inspection aspects of marine survey operations.
They can successfully manage the Inspection Engineering Team during operations and will report directly to the Inspection Coordinator.
The Senior Inspection Engineer is expected to coach and assess members of the Inspection Team in line with the Competence Management Programme.
- Valid and current offshore medical certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed.
- Satisfactory completion of the competence criteria relating to the Inspection Engineer Grade I and Graduate roles.
- Nominally 24 months experience, including 200 days offshore as an Inspection Engineer.
- Full understanding of NDT methodologies.
- Full understanding of Remote Vehicle and Diver intervention systems and their related methodologies.
- Long industry service experience related to Subsea inspection.
- Holds a valid in date CSWIP 3.4u certificate.
- Desirable to hold additional Inspection suite related certification i.e. Integrity Elements, Nexus exe.
- Magnetic Particle Inspection Level 2 knowledge.
- Ultrasonic Thickness Testing Level 1 knowledge.
- Suitable tertiary qualification in an engineering or science related discipline. (Industry experience can compensate for a lack of formally proven competence).
Grade I Inspection Engineer (ICA 2026)

A Grade I Inspection Engineer is regarded as someone who is conversant with aspects of subsea Inspection operations and its processes.
They can successfully participate and contribute to the success of the Inspection Project Team during operations and will report directly to the Senior Inspection Engineer or Inspection Coordinator.
The Inspection Engineer is expected to participate within the Competence Management Programme.
- Satisfactory completion of the competence criteria for Graduate Inspection Engineer and be working towards Inspection Engineer.
- Nominally 12 months experience, including 80 days operational experience as a Graduate Inspection Engineer.
- Valid and current offshore medical certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed.
- Valid and current offshore survival certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed.
- Inspection Engineer Grade 1 - 100 operational days of Offshore Inspection Engineer experience.
- Inspection Engineer Grade 2 - minimum 2 years relevant industrial, military, or academic experience.
- Maintains an in date 3.4u CSWIP Inspection qualification.
Grade II Inspection Engineer (ICA 2026)

- It can then be completed and saved, even when offline.
- The completed documents can then be uploaded to your submission areas when internet access is next available.
A Grade II Inspection Engineer is regarded as someone who works within the Inspection Team during subsea inspection operations.
They can successfully participate in Inspection operations under supervision within the Inspection Project Team during offshore inspection, and will report directly to the Senior Inspection Engineer or Inspection Coordinator.
The Grade II Inspection Engineer is expected to perform in relation to the CSWIP 3.4u Inspection program and participate in the Competence Management Programme.
- Education:
- Preferred suitable tertiary qualification in an engineering or science related discipline
- Mandatory CSWIP 3.4u in date qualification
- In the event of not holding a degree qualification, industry experience could substitute for the lack there off
- Industrial, military, or academic experience
- Satisfactorily completed the competencies for Graduate Inspection Engineer (Competence 1, 2 & 3)
