Senior Tooling Technician
Job Summary:
A Senior Tooling Technician is regarded as someone who can fault-find on equipment but also plan and to some degree manage technical activities. In many cases the Senior Tooling Technician will be required to assist the Tooling Supervisor on some managerial activities – for instance acting as a "Night Shift Supervisor".
The Senior Tooling Technician is expected to coach colleagues in all aspects of subsea operations and maintenance.
In practice there is some overlap between the Senior Tooling Technician and Supervisor grades. It is not the intention of this programme to limit the technical activities undertaken by a Senior Tooling Technician when they are clearly capable of undertaking some of the responsibilities of the Supervisor grade, with the consent of the Tooling Supervisor or Assessor
