Grade II Geotechnical Field Engineer
Job Summary:
A Grade II Geotechnical Engineer (Field) is regarded as someone who works within the Survey Team during marine survey operations.
They can successfully participate under supervision, in the Geotechnical Project Team during operations and will report directly to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer.
The Grade II Geotechnical Engineer (Field) is expected to participate in the Competence Management Programme.
The Geotechnical Engineer (Field) is ultimately responsible for ensuring that all geotechnical aspects of field works are performed correctly and that all acquired data is fit for purpose. Duties may include data acquisition, data interpretation and engineering.
Entry Level Specifications:
- Degree level qualification in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology, or approved related discipline
- Team player/ Good standard of IT literacy/ Good communication skills
- Valid and current offshore medical certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed
- Valid and current offshore survival certificate that is acceptable in the region of the world in which they are employed
